"Springsteen Sings Support For Obama At Rally In Oakland"

This article describes rally in Oakland for Obama supporters and "believers." Bruce Springsteen was there to perform and advocate the incumbent. He said, "You have to believe the world is open to change, open to petition, open to argument." The rally was not supposed to necessarily to sway undecided voters, but to turn "believers into activists." The point was to encourage democrats to be more proactive in their position as voters and Obama supporters. People at the rally were even given packets of local people to call to inform them on why Obama is the right choice, resulting in 20,000 calls before the rally happened.
The information in this article could potentially cause more people to lean towards the Democratic party because Obama and his campaign are encouraging people to be so involved. I learned that Bruce Springsteen is a democrat and is so dedicated that he performed at a rally for him. i find it very brave when celebrities share their political views, because it opens them up to all types of criticism. The author doesn't take a clear stance, the article is strictly about Obama's rally. This could end up in Springsteen being featured in many more Obama ads on television and possibly more rallies.
