The article "Mitt's Likability Problems" discusses how so many people, whether it's regarding his politics or his personality, just flat out don't like Mitt Romney. John Avlon starts off by describing the "camaraderie" that seems to come naturally among politicians. No matter how much they may disagree on their policies and opinions, they always come out shaking hands in the end. However this time around it seems as though all of Romney's fellow politicians, democrat and republican, distance themselves from him when the race is over. Mitt Romney is said to not be much of a people person, and this is because of his approach on politics as if it were a business. Instead of being focused on his one way of fixing things, or his own unique policies, he "panders" his words for specific audiences. This brings up the question on whether Romney actually meant what he said about the "47%" or if he was just pleasing the audience he was speaking to at the moment. Avlon also explains how some conservative figures including columnist Bill Kirstol and Republican Senate nominees Scott Brown and Linda McMahon disassociated themselves from Romney quickly after these comments were made, showing that his negative impression was not made strictly on democrats.
The information in this article could help undecided voters figure out which side they're leaning towards because it gives them a perspective of Romney's personality. The most important thing when it comes to a presidential candidate is their policy and how they are going to improve the country but it also helps a lot to know what kind of person they are, and this article shows people how Romney is seen by his fellow politicians.
John Avlon seems to be part of the democratic party. He explains he believes Romney is still a good guy "deep down," but still thinks he has taken the wrong approach on politics and is not good president material because he is unable to have a stable stand on his policies.
