"Pennsylvania U.S. Senate Race Suddenly Competitive, Expensive" 10/21

"Pennsylvania U.S. Senate Race Suddenly Competitive, Expensive"
by Marc Levy, Associated Press
SFGate, San Francisco Chronicle
October 21st, 2012

This article talks about the close and competitive race between Bob Casey and Tom Smith, the two are running for Pennsylvania U.S. Senate. Bob Casey let up on his campaigning, giving Tom Smith room to come in and "plant seeds of doubt over the outcome of the debate." It's apparent that Tom Smith has had more television ads and more money for advertising and rallies in the upcoming weeks before the election, yet Levy still reports on how his plans would take America down the wrong road. He discusses how Casey is in favor of raising income taxes because it means those who are wealthier will have to pay more, as well as increasing minimum wage. According to Smith's plans, he would be against both of these points. He is completely against any increase on income tax, even on the wealthy and would repeal the health care law.
This article is really advocating Bob Casey and attacking Tom Smith more than anything. It is also updating voters on what both candidates' viewpoints are. Marc Levy definitely seems to be on Casey's side.
